 I first met Rob 25+ years ago when he was recommended by friends for bass lessons. Many years later, my teenage son was showing interest in guitar so I obviously contacted Rob about giving him lessons. I have been going to Rob again for about the past year to broaden my theory knowledge and improve my technique.  Rob is extremely knowledgeable in music theory and can quickly cater each lesson to your playing ability. I had been playing guitar on and off for years and never progressed beyond rhythm guitar and entertaining folks around the campfire. I found Rob’s lessons engaging and loaded with those “ah-ha!” moments that get you playing up and down the fretboard quickly. From beginners to long time players who want more out of playing the guitar, I highly recommend Rob Otis to get you to that next level.

 I’ve been playing music for almost 30 years and have been playing (saxophone) in local bands for about 10 years. For a good portion of that time I have owned and “played” guitars. I never really took the time to learn much theory or standard practices, so I have been mostly limited to playing open chords and playing (poorly) by ear, never making any real progress. I took it upon myself earlier this year to learn more about the guitar and become more proficient with my playing, so I contacted Rob after looking around for some private lessons. I have been extremely pleased with my time spent with Rob. He continues to find new ways to challenge me and rethink the way the instrument works. I can say without a doubt my understanding and my playing has accelerated faster than ever since working with him and he keeps it engaging and interesting all while catering to my skill level. Rob has a wealth of knowledge and truly enjoys passing it on to his students and I would recommend anyone at any skill level to consider working with him. 

 Rob Otis is an excellent guitar teacher.  He can play any style and pretty much any song you can possibly think of.  I feel very lucky to take lessons from a true musician like Rob. 

 Rob is one of tje best teachers out there. Besides his great ability and knowledge of guitars he has to one of theist nicest and definitely one of the most patient  person I know. 

 Rob Otis is an amazing guitar player and teacher! He meets you where you are at and continues to balance complimenting while challenging you during the lessons. I started playing later in life and Rob helped me make some progress early on so I was inspired to continue. I would recommend Rob to anyone who is considering beginning guitar or someone who is more accomplished. You will not be disappointed!  Jeff W
