Bio

I grew up in Long Island, New York, and began playing the guitar at an early age. I had several guitar teachers in my early years, but the one who truly influenced me was the legendary jazz guitarist Billy Bauer. I studied with him for a few years, focusing on jazz, sight reading, and arranging chord melodies.

I have taught at music stores in Long Island, New Hampshire, and Charlottesville, Virginia. Later, I lived in New England for about seven years, playing in various rock and blues bands, mainly at ski areas throughout the region. Eventually, I moved to Charlottesville, Virginia, and now reside in Waynesboro, Virginia. Over the years, I have consistently taught guitar lessons, either on the side or full-time.
